Last spring, I attended an NSTA teacher conference in New Orleans. It was a treat to see the city vibrant, friendly, and in relatively good shape despite Katrina. I did not visit the areas worst hit, however. I just submitted these images to a juried photo contest focused on New Orleans. It was fun to review all the images that included street scenes, flowers, the cemetery, and the botanical garden with several sculpture exhibits.These photos were taken of two different men on the street, one adorned with pink hair and the other dressed as a tin man and seeking donations as payment for his performance.
